School Behaviour Support and Management Plan
Educators at Bellevue Hill Public School understand the potential that student wellbeing has to bring about positive change, what is required to foster wellbeing, and how it is a powerful force in students' learning and development.
Our understanding of wellbeing is contemporary and forward focussed. Wellbeing, or the lack of it, can affect a students' engagement and success in learning.
The School Behaviour Support and Management Plan (SBSMP) outlines behaviour support and management practices including anti-bullying strategies, and prioritises learning continuity. The plan facilitates whole-school, prevention-focused, positive approaches to behaviour support.
The plan has been developed in line with the Student Behaviour Policy, Behaviour Code for Students, and the School Community Charter.
Please download our Student Wellbeing Handbook for more information on how we support our students' wellbeing .
At BHPS we also use the Grow Your Mind program to explore Positive Psychology concepts and lessons in our classrooms. Our students are responding really well to this program. Grow Your Mind provides engaging, evidence based positive mental health strategies for our students.
